Tzatziki Sauce

Tzatziki is a traditional Greek sauce made with yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and herbs. Here’s a basic recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat is preferred)
  • 1 cucumber  grated
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cucumber: Grate the cucumberadd some salt  and squeeze out excess moisture using strainer
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, dill, and  vinegar
  3. Season: Add salt to taste
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Tzatziki is typically served as a dip with pita bread or as a sauce for grilled meats and vegetables.
